HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This weekend was my first proper Halloween! And although we didn’t do any of the traditions of trick or treating, or carving pumpkins or even eating lots of candy, I experienced some new traditions.
So in the traditional point form style that I have become so accustomed to, this halloween week and weekend:
- I went completely loopy for a day
- my loopy-ness rubbed off on other people, with the product being four of us doing a rain dance, while it was drizzling
- we played frisbee in the mud and rain, and I attempted to catch a frisbee while being piggybacked by Pav, and unfortunately failed
- I dressed up as a zombie with Jols and Kathy
- we saw people dressed up as a condom, bacon and egg, hotdog, bananas in pajamas, pac-man and the ghosts and countless other things I simply cant remember
- we went to ‘Fright Night’ at an amusement park (kind of like Luna Park in St Kilda) but bigger and with better rides
- we sang the Spongebob theme song on one of the rides really loudly, because someone was dressed up as Spongebob, while everyone stared at us like we were retards. Too funny.
- I went on so many rides that I would usually be too chicken shit to go on, and I loved them, including one that shoots you up straight up into the air, and one that spins you upside down
- we listened to a silly girl argue about organic food with this random guy on the bus; he interjected on her conversation about organic food with an argument about how it sucks, to which she replied “well what’s your ulterior solution”. LOL ulterior. That’s almost as good as “I dwelved into it”.
- I had a really really nice day with Alex :)
- I had another royal tea latte (so good!)
- And finally, and most importantly, I reached a turning point where I realised that although I love it here and don’t want to leave anyone here, I think I’m ready to go home, or at least I’ll be okay to go home… mostly because I miss a lot of people (and a certain cat)
